Morin Marée

The Albi-based family fish shop "Morin Marée" contacted us to create an artistic project for their storefront.

We had complete creative freedom, provided, of course, that it remained true to the brand's identity and reflected the core of their business: their dynamism, the freshness of their products, and their commitment to environmental responsibility.
For the design, I chose as my guiding principle the graceful movement of a large wave, which begins energetically with a huge fish leaping from the ground and ends with a small fishing boat. The entire piece is rendered in the colors of their logo (the blue of the fish and the orange of the dynamic effects).

As a side note, we applied all the first coats with a brush! We had no choice given the nature of the surface; using a roller was impossible, and its location, with a customer parking lot, meant we couldn't use a paint sprayer, which would have risked spraying paint onto the cars. A tedious but necessary step for long-lasting durability.

We started using spray paint for details and gradients in the fish, as well as white foam and gradients within the wave.

I designed the fishing boat using vector software because, given the nature of the surface (corrugated cladding), we preferred to have the logo and the boat created by a specialist company: Ateliers Vezes Publicité in Albi. I therefore provided them with a file in the correct dimensions, which they then installed themselves over the mural.
