Kitachi

Kitachi was formed in Leeds in 1993 by Mark Iration, Dennis Rootical, and Jack Rubles, and showcases the crew's innovative blend of rave, roots, trip-hop, and dub sounds. For the reissue of the album "A Strong Unit," originally released in 1996, the label Dubquake Records commissioned me to create the album artwork. I followed a simple approach: to create a custom, old-school typeface that captures the group's spirit in a mix of graffiti, rave, innovation, and a distinctly 90s vibe !
